Aberdeen Standard Capital, our discretionary investment arm, has been named 'Best ESG Wealth Manager/Discretionary Fund Manager' at the 2019 Investment Week Sustainable & ESG Investment Awards. The awards showcase expertise and commitment to investment factors that take into account environmental, social and ethical criteria, as well as good corporate behaviour.

The award is given to investment managers and organisations who are at the forefront of making a positive impact on society – with a major focus on the long-term benefits of investing in companies with a strong sustainable and environmental, social and governance (ESG) record. It also reflects the quality of our expertise and insight that helps connect our clients to opportunities that grow their assets.

Our business was also recognised in two other award categories. Our UK Ethical Equity Fund, which celebrated its 21st anniversary in September 2019, was shortlisted for the Best Ethical Investment Fund. We were also shortlisted for the Innovation (Research & Methodology) Award for our paper on Social Capitalism – taking a wider view of national progress.
