We continue to collaborate with Big Issue Invest – the social investment arm of The Big Issue – to offer ways of investing that promote societal as well as financial benefits. An example of this is our UK Equity Impact Employment Opportunities Fund.
We recently published the fund's first annual report assessing the impact it's made since it launched in 2018. The report reflects some positive progress made in UK job creation over the last year.
The fund aims to promote stable employment, wages that enable people to live at a socially acceptable standard, and opportunities for learning and progression – particularly in the UK's most deprived communities.
A percentage of the fund's annual management charge goes to Big Issue Invest, enabling the organisation to continue financing social enterprises that deliver business solutions to social problems. The success of the fund also contributes to the wider work of The Big Issue Group.
