Please be aware we will require your Standard Life (Phoenix) agency code in most instances as information is shared across both organisations. If you don’t have one please use this Origo form – Origo Agency Registration.

Transferring business (novations)

If business is being transferred to abrdn the following process should be followed.

If you already use Wrap

Please complete this RDR-compliant novation form template from the Origo website:

Origo novation form template

It should be signed by all parties and returned to abrdn. You can post the novation form to us, or send it as a PDF attachment to our mailbox wrap_servicing@abrdn.com.

Alternatively, you can email us letters of authority from the relevant directly authorised parties for individual clients. Please ensure that these letters contain the correct declarations from page five of the Origo Transfers and Novation Signature form and are signed by an authorised signatory of both companies.

Please note: the receiving company must have the necessary FCA permissions to be able to provide the same level of service and be a registered intermediary (or an appointed representative of a registered intermediary).

If you aren’t set up on Wrap

Please complete the sign up process through our online form. This will enable your firm to be set up on Wrap.

Integration services

You can save time by receiving platform account valuations and electronic remuneration statements directly into your own systems.

We are currently working with all of the adviser software suppliers to enable our new bulk valuation service and replace your existing electronic remuneration statements for payments made from ISA, PP and Wrap Cash accounts. We will provide updates directly or via your software supplier.

Adding or removing an adviser

To add or remove an adviser, you should send the following information in an email to info_commission@standardlife.com and wrap_servicing@abrdn.com, with the subject as ‘Add adviser’ or ‘Remove adviser’:
  • Company name
  • Adviser name
  • Standard Life (Phoenix) Agency Code (include this in the email subject line)
  • Platform company shortcode or FCA number
  • Name of the administrator in your firm

Changing agency details

If you need to change any details e.g. address, bank accounts, payment frequencies, please send full details to wrap_servicing@abrdn.com with the appropriate supporting evidence/paperwork required to make that change.

Please ensure you include the Standard Life and abrdn agency codes and FCA number for the adviser/firm.

Agreements with discretionary fund managers

If you use a discretionary fund manager (DFM), an agreement will be needed between your firm and the DFM. You will need to contact the DFM to arrange the permission of your new platform before we novate any clients. This must be done before requesting a transfer of agency.
