ROI Staff Pension and DC Pension Schemes

Welcome to the microsite for The abrdn Republic of Ireland Staff Pension Scheme and The abrdn Republic of Ireland Defined Contribution Scheme (“the Schemes”).

The Schemes are managed under Trust by a board of trustee’s. This microsite has been set up by the trustee’s with support from the sponsoring employer, Aberdeen Corporate Services Limited (part of the abrdn group), so that members and other parties can access certain documents relating to the Schemes.

Legislation has been introduced to encourage transparency of trustees’ investment policies for occupational schemes. Part of these requirements are for trustee’s to make certain documentation available on a publicly accessible website, and any such documents will be made available on this microsite.

The Statement of Investment Policy Principles (or ‘SIPP’) is a written statement agreed by the Trustee, which sets out the governing principles followed when investing the Schemes assets. There are detailed requirements for the contents of a SIPP, and it is prepared in accordance with all relevant legislation and best-practice guidelines. The SIPP is reviewed and updated periodically by the Trustee, to reflect any changes to the Schemes investment strategy or regulatory requirements. The sponsoring employer is also consulted when any changes to the SIPP are considered.
