Client portfolio report

How to produce a client portfolio report from the platform

What you can do

  • Produce professional bespoke reports to support your client review process
  • Personalise your report by adding commentary or upload an image, like a signature or portrait image
  • Create reports in real time and saved to your client’s document store
Some on the features within the above video will only be available to Wrap users including firm logo, benchmarks (showing cumulative and/or discrete performance), insights and transaction details.

How to create a client report

  • Search for your client’s account
  • Create client portfolio report functionality is available on the Summary, Performance and Insights tabs
  • The report can also be accessed from the client Menu under Reporting
Note: Other client reports are available in the client Menu under Reporting > Legacy Client Reports. This includes Capital Gains Reports, Investment Transactions and Statements.

Set up

Set your report parameters by selecting the reporting date range. The valuation date will be the end date of this period.

The report can be run against the total portfolio or a sub-set of products.

The report is available in PDF or Word format.

Contents

Popular content sections are defaulted on, to allow you to quickly and easily create a standard report. However, the report content can be tailored to your clients needs.

The report will pull through your firm logo (Wrap only) onto the cover page. The report introduction also allows you to include commentary and upload a digital image to personalise the output.

A range of performance graphs (Wrap only) are available to help demonstrate how investments have performed. Industry benchmarks are available against Cumulative and Discrete performance graphs.

Preferences

Choose between a Simple Return or Internal Rate of Return (IRR) calculation to measure performance.

Simple Return

This is the percentage (%) measure to show how investments have performed over the selected time period, without any adjustment for the date that each transaction occurred. It’s calculated by dividing the change in value by the total amount invested, less any money out, over the time period.

Internal Rate of Return

This is the percentage (%) measure to show how investments have performed over the selected time period. It’s calculated by dividing the change in value by the time and the value of the transactions that took place over the time period.

For valuation and performance detail sections you can tailor the presentation of the data to be either at product or asset view, and whether to include asset class categories or not.

Create report

Once you have set up your contents and preferences you can request your report form the Create Report button. Reports are produced in real time, taking only moments to fetch data and create the output. They are automatically added to your client’s document store where they can be downloaded, saved to your back office or deleted.
