Net Zero

At ASI, we are committed to playing a constructive role in the decarbonisation of the global economy and enabling our clients to reach their net zero goals.

We are pleased to confirm that we have joined the Net Zero Asset Manager initiative – an initiative that will see asset managers work in collaboration with clients to achieve net zero by 2050 or sooner. For us this means developing net zero solutions across asset classes to enable our clients to reach their net zero 2050 goals. We will also work with current, and prospective clients, to outline how net zero goals can be delivered alongside risk-adjusted returns.

What does Net Zero mean for investors?

Net zero means incrementally moving investment portfolios away from financing carbon intensive activities towards climate solutions, on a glide path to achieve zero net emissions by 2050. For example, moving capital from investments in electric power utilities which rely on thermal coal generation, to those leading the shift to wind and solar energy.

Risk warning
Risk warning - Investment involves risk. The value of investments, and the income from them, can go down as well as up and an investor may get back less than the amount invested. Past performance is not a guide to future results.
