Chris Demetriou
CEO, UK, EMEA and Americas, Investments
Chris became CEO for UK, EMEA and Americas in April 2021. His focus in this role is on driving commercial opportunities and sustainable growth for our business through strong collaboration across our global investments teams. He is a member of the Executive Leadership Team as well as several other committees within our business.
Chris joined Aberdeen Asset Management in 2013, as a result of the acquisition of SVG – a FTSE 250 private equity investor based in London – where he was working at the time. Chris moved to the United States in 2014 to assume the role of Chief Financial Officer for Aberdeen in the Americas. In 2016 he was appointed Deputy CEO for the Americas, and became CEO for the Americas in 2018.
Chris is a Chartered Accountant. Before joining SVG, he worked at Ernst & Young, specialising in Asset and Wealth Management audits and transactions.
