We are one of 325 global companies included in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index for 2020.. This is the second time we have been listed, after entering the index in 2019.

The index measures Standard Life Aberdeen's performance against a number of best practice benchmarks in the areas of:

  • female leadership and talent pipeline
  • equal pay and gender parity
  • inclusive culture
  • sexual harassment policies
  • pro-women brand.

The index offers investors more visibility into environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting from public companies. We support this transparency, which will help to encourage companies to take action on gender equality.

Companies are included in the index this year from over 50 industries and headquartered in 42 countries.

"We are thrilled to be named as one of the companies in this year's index. Despite an increasingly tough marking process, we're pleased to see more companies are voluntarily disclosing information about supporting women in the workplace."
