New year success in D&I

We are pleased to announce two successes following our work on Diversity and Inclusion. We have been listed on the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index and the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s (HRC) Corporate Equality Index – two global benchmarks which highlight our strong commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

The Bloomberg Gender Equality Index tracks the performance of public companies committed to disclosing their efforts to support gender equality through policy development, representation and transparency. It is the fourth year we have been listed, however, recently the threshold for the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index was raised, and it now holds companies to a higher standard. This makes our listing even more important to us, and is testament to the work our teams have done in this space.

In the US, the HRC Corporate Equality Index is a benchmarking tool measuring policies, practices and benefits relevant to LGBTQ+ employees. It is a key tool for companies focused on driving LGBTQ+ inclusion in their workplace. This year, we obtained a score of 100, which places us as one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality” – a significant achievement.

Tracey Hahn, Chief People Officer, said: “We believe that diversity and inclusion is at the core of any successful business. We have placed significant focus on this area with the aim of creating and maintaining inclusive environments in which everyone can excel.  

“Recently, we hosted two D&I sessions both designed to increase our curiosity and understanding of different aspects of D&I and so help build an inclusive workplace, one about neurodiversity, and one learning about diversity through storytelling. We also recently announced our latest Board appointment, which means our Board is now made up of six men and six women. The 2021 gender pay gap report shows that we are making progress and there is still work to be done.
